Code Meter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no advertising. Anonymous product analytics are collected via PostHog (see App Analytics below).
Code Meter reads credentials for your chosen AI coding provider — Claude Code, Codex, Z.ai, or Minimax — from the macOS Keychain to authenticate with that provider's usage API. Credentials never leave your device: they are read locally and sent directly to the provider's servers over HTTPS to fetch your usage data. No intermediary servers are involved.
Usage history snapshots are stored locally using SwiftData for the history charts. Widget data is shared between the app and its widgets via a local App Group container. All data stays on your Mac.
We use PostHog to collect anonymous product usage data to help us understand how users interact with Code Meter and improve it. PostHog collects the following information, which is not personally identifiable:
All analytics data is hosted on PostHog's EU Cloud servers in Frankfurt, Germany and never leaves Europe. Person profiles are disabled (personProfiles = .never). IP address capture is disabled. We do not use IDFA, cookies, or device fingerprinting. No data is sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
Legal basis: We process this data under legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) for the purpose of product improvement. The minimal, pseudonymous nature of this data collection does not override your rights and freedoms.
Provider usage APIs — Code Meter contacts the API of the provider you connect (Anthropic, OpenAI / ChatGPT Codex, Z.ai, or Minimax) to retrieve your usage information. This is the core function of the app. Only the provider you select is contacted.
RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — used to manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts through Apple and does not receive any personal data from Code Meter. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
PostHog (EU Cloud) — used for anonymous product analytics (see above).
No data is sent to any other third party.

By downloading or using Code Meter, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
StreetCoding grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Code Meter on any Mac you own or control, subject to the Mac App Store Terms of Service. Code Meter requires macOS 26 or later.
Code Meter requires at least one supported AI coding provider — Claude Code, Codex, Z.ai, or Minimax — to be installed and authenticated on your Mac. It reads your existing credentials from the macOS Keychain, so no separate login is required for most providers. You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for all API usage associated with your account.
Code Meter includes a free trial period. Trial eligibility is tracked using a date stored in the macOS Keychain, cross-referenced with RevenueCat's server-side records to prevent manipulation. Once the trial ends, a one-time lifetime Pro purchase is required to continue using the app. All transactions are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's payment terms. Purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy. To restore a previous purchase, use the Restore Purchase option in the app.
Code Meter is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Usage figures are fetched from the connected provider's API and may not match your billing records in real time. Always verify critical usage information directly with your provider.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StreetCoding shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Code Meter, including unexpected API charges incurred with any supported provider.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
